Livestock & Operations

Livestock Management

Livestock production forms the foundation of Graypoint Farms. Our herd combines dairy and beef breeds selected for performance, adaptability, and productivity. The diversity within our herd allows us to supply the market consistently throughout the year. Every animal is raised under conditions that promote good health and productivity. The farm ensures that livestock receive  quality nutrition, professional handling, and access to clean water enabling them to reach their full potential.

Our systems are built around efficiency, animal welfare, and long-term productivity, which allows us to meet both dairy and beef market needs reliably.

Breeding and Herd Improvement

Graypoint Farms runs a well-structured breeding system that combines natural mating with an advanced artificial insemination (AI) program, enabling us to steadily improve the genetic potential of our herd.

Through AI, we introduce high-quality genetics from accredited local and international sources, particularly leading breeding centers in Canada and Kenya and other reputable institutions.

We use both sexed and non-sexed semen for dairy and beef improvement, depending on strategic pro-duction goals.

Each breeding activity is handled by trained livestock specialists and veterinarians who ensure the safety and health of the animals.

We keep records of the breeding program, allowing the farm to track traits such as fertility, milk production, growth performance, feed conversion, and disease resistance aiming at continuously developing a herd that is productive, well-adapted to the environment, and competitive in both local and regional markets.

Feeding and Forage Management

To sustain the nutritional needs of the herd throughout the year, Graypoint Farms has developed a strong forage production system. We grow Napier varieties such as Pakchong, alongside Chloris gayana, Brachiaria species, Centrosema, Lab-lab, Calliandra, and other high-value forages.

Forage is harvested at the right stage and preserved as hay or silage to maintain quality during dry periods. Cuttings and seeds are selected based on purity, viability, and expected yield.

Modern machinery such as tractors, forage choppers, milking machines, and silage banks support efficient harvesting, processing and storage. This system allows the farm to maintain balanced nutrition, resulting in improved milk performance, healthier animals, and high-quality beef ready for the market.

Beef Production

Graypoint Farms produces organic beef from cattle raised under controlled and traceable conditions. Animals intended for slaughter are managed carefully from birth to finishing, ensuring they grow healthy, naturally fed, and free from stress.

Our pasture-based feeding programs and strong animal welfare protocols support the production of premium organic beef for both local and international markets.
All slaughtering is carried out through licensed abattoirs that follow halal-compliant procedures and uphold hygiene, safety, and quality standards to ensure that every animal is processed in accordance with recognized religious, health, and international requirements.

Once processed, we supply our clients with organic beef and value-added meat products, maintaining consistency, traceability, and high quality across the entire value chain.

Through this controlled system, from natural feeding to humane handling to certified slaughter, Graypoint Farms reliably delivers clean, safe, and premium-quality organic beef to both domestic and export clients.
